     April 13,  2021 Dear Pulaski  Families,  Every year, Chicago Public Schools administers federally-required state assessments. This spring 3rd-8th grade students will be administered  the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) that measures mastery of the Illinois Learning Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Please note that this is not a high stakes assessment used for student promotion, high school options, or school funding.     Dear Pulaski Families, You may have heard that our beloved Spanish teacher and Bilingual Coordinator, Denise Hernández, was in a very serious car accident with her family last Saturday night. Ms. Hernández, her husband, and her 8th grade daughter Isabella were injured in the crash. Ms. Hernández and Isabella are still recovering in the hospital, but we are hopeful they will be home soon. Ms. Hernández’ husband is recovering at home with their two youngest children, who thankfully were not hurt in the accident.
