Ms. Lanigan has been teaching for Chicago Public Schools since 2008.  She started her teaching career in a 5th and 6th grade classroom where she taught for 2 and a half years, and she has been working at Pulaski in the K-2 classroom for the past year.

Ms. Lanigan grew up in Michigan.  She attended Eastern Michigan University, where she majored in Special Education and minored in Elementary Education.  She completed her student teaching in a 1st grade classroom and a K-2 Special Education classroom.  After she graduated, she moved to Chicago to begin teaching.

Ms. Lanigan currently attends UIC, and is studying to become a Reading Specialist.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and watching movies.

She would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to work with her students this year!
