The IB Middle Years Programme, for students aged 11 to 16, provides a framework of academic challenges that encourage students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers.
MYP Student Guide Overviews:
The Grade 8 Community Project is a major activity for students to complete in year three (8th grade) of the MYP program at Pulaski. Since Pulaski has been authorized to offer the program over the course of three years and does not partner with a high school, the IBO requires eighth graders to complete a community project.
Under the supervision and instruction of Mr. W, the Pulaski MYP Design students won the 3-round Inventables contest, in which one school from each state gets chosen to receive their own 3-D Carver Machine. In the third round, some of our 8th grade students worked with Mr. W to make a video explaining why Pulaski should win the 3-D Carver. Pulaski is the winning school from Illinois!
Congratulations MYP Design Students and Mr. W!
