Visual Arts
“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
~ Scott Adams
The visual arts curriculum focuses on integrating what students learn in other core subjects (math, reading, social science and science) while learning about the elements of art, the principles of design and art history to create works of art. Through integration, students will form deeper connections and understandings between all subject areas. When creating art, students will have the opportunity to explore different media such as graphite, paint, printmaking, clay, and much more.
