CPS students may be eligible for Pandemic-EBT cards Your CPS students may be eligible for a Pandemic-EBT grocery card to purchase food. For each day that K-12 school children lack access to an in-school lunch, P-EBT provides eligible families with $6.82 in benefits per student, per day. These benefits are provided on a card that can be used like a debit card to purchase food at any grocery store that accepts LINK cards. This means that as of now, all elementary school students who want to learn in person, along with our students in cluster programs, are back in school where they belong. March 5, 2021 Dear Families, Chicago neighborhoods came alive this week as thousands of students in kindergarten through fifth grade returned to school for the first time in nearly a year. The excitement on their faces was infectious, and their voices brought a level of energy that has been absent from our schools for far too long.
